ClimaTech competition

The ClimateTech Pitch Day, supported by the MIT Climate & Energy Prize and Climatech.live, will showcase innovative solutions to combat climate change. Four selected startups will pitch their ideas on June 4, 2024, at ClimaTech in Boston, in front of a live audience of investors, potential customers, and industry experts. This year's event will feature an AI judge.

Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship

The Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship focuses on educating MIT students in entrepreneurship through proven frameworks, courses, and co-curricular programs. The center offers over 60 entrepreneurship and innovation courses across campus, a dedicated E&I track for MBAs, and online courses for self-learners at MIT. The MIT Climate & Energy Ventures course combines science, technology, business, and policy students to form teams around new technologies and ideas emerging in the energy and climate sectors. This course educates students on how to start companies in the climate and energy space and over 50 companies have come out of the class.

Climate and Energy

The MIT Climate & Energy Prize (MIT CEP) is the longest running and largest climate & energy startup competition for university students from around the world. Over the past 16 years, 100+ CEP alumni have successfully launched companies and collectively raised over $1.7 billion in follow-on funding. MIT CEP teams compete for more than $100,000 in Grand Prize and other monetary prizes.

Climate Science (non-Ocean)

Woodwell Climate Research Center conducts science for solutions at the nexus of climate, people, and nature—solutions that are urgently needed to propel us toward a more equitable, healthy, and sustainable world. Originally founded as the Woods Hole Research Center in 1985, we have a track record of partnering with a global network of communities and leaders for just, meaningful impact to address the climate crisis.

Ocean Science

Ocean Visions is a non-profit organization that focuses on advancing responsible and effective ocean-based climate solutions. It facilitates collaborations across multiple sectors to address the challenges posed by climate disruption to the ocean. The organization works on strategies to reduce CO2 emissions, remove CO2 pollution, repair critical marine ecosystems, and build a global community to innovate and develop ocean-climate solutions.
